MISSION STATEMENT
The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International promotes professional and personal growth of women educators and excellence in education.
Delta Kappa Gamma Seven Purposes
I. To unite women educators of the world in a genuine spiritual fellowship
II. To honor women who have given or who evidence a potential for distinctive service in any field of education
III. To advance the professional interest and position of women in education
IV. To initiate, endorse, and support desirable legislation or other suitable endeavors in the interest of education and of women educators
V. To endow scholarships to aid outstanding women educators in pursuing graduate study and to grant fellowships to non-member women educators
VI. To stimulate the personal and professional growth of members and to encourage their participation in appropriate programs of action
VII. To inform members of current economic, social, political, and educational issues so that they may participate effectively in a world society

Alpha Mu Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma welcomes inquiries from those women educators in any field or level of education.

Criteria for Membership
Prospective members are encouraged to attend chapter meetings as a guest to learn more about the Society and its programs.
An active member shall be a woman who is employed as a professional educator or has been retired from an educational position.
An active member shall participate in the activities of the Society.

Alpha Mu Chapter makes a difference in the community:
- Supports the annual grant-in-aid junior or senior college student pursuing a degree in education.
- Supports new teachers in Warren County Pennsylvania by providing goodie bags and encouragement.
- Supports Head Start students.
- Serves on one or more of the Alpha Mu committees.
